Inherently Interconnected

Classical East Asian medicine reminds us that we are nature.

As humans, we have the experience of being made of the Qi of heaven — the more immaterial Qi, the more energetic realities (this is Yang). And, we are also made of the Qi of earth — the more material Qi, the more substantive realities (this is Yin). We cannot have one without the other and they are both mutually interdependent and always present.

We are also shaped and influenced by the cycles of nature which can be represented by the seasons of the year. We get to have this multi-layered experience, and we are constantly moving and shifting through cycles of change.

You perhaps innately know this truth. You are not separate from our environment. You are not separate from the plants and animals, the seasons, weather patterns, the earth or the sky – you are interconnected and interdependent. You are shaped by our environment. You are shaped by what time it is, the stars, the seasons. And you shape them back.

This multi-layered experience is always a part of the context being held as we work together in your acupuncture treatments.
